Disappointment My visit to Buttermilk Falls and Yatesville Creek was a bit disappointing—the falls were almost completely dry. I’ll need to come back in the spring, possibly just after the snowmelt, and hope for better luck. A Colored Rock While walking along the creek bed, I came across a painted rock. Aside from lady claiming I couldn’t take a proper selfie, my hike on the trail at Moreau State lake was rather pleasant. We had the dogs and weren’t fully prepared for the trail so unfortunately we didn’t make it to the top. However, that didn’t stop us from having a great time and snapping a few photos.
Some photos I snapped during my summer 2023 hike to Bash Bish Falls. This was an amazing sight. The cascade is by far the largest I’ve visited, though I did feel it lost something due to the amount of signage around the area. Where as some of my other excursions have taken me to places that felt unique and off the beaten path, this place almost felt touristy.
