Monuments, Museums, and a Batmobile – Our D.C. Honeymoon

Photo Story

Back in 2019, my lady and I spent our honeymoon in Washington, D.C., exploring the Smithsonian museums, admiring the city’s stunning architecture, and taking in the sheer history woven into every street. It was an unforgettable trip, filled with moments of awe and appreciation—not just for the exhibits and monuments, but for the time we got to spend together in such an incredible place. If I had one regret, it’s that we didn’t have a little more time to slow down and soak it all in. Walking miles every day was worth it, but a day on, day off approach might have been the way to go!

I’ve picked out some of my favorite photos from the trip to share here. From grand historical landmarks to some of the more unexpected finds—like a replica of the Batmobile from Tim Burton’s Batman—D.C. had a way of surprising us around every corner. These photos capture just a fraction of what we saw, but they bring back great memories of an incredible start to our life together.
