Saratoga Comic Con was last month and I got to meet a couple of interesting people.

Nolan North

I’ve been listening to this man for decades. He’s not just a voice actor—he’s the voice actor. I know him best as Penguin in the Batman: Arkham trilogy and, of course, as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series.

We waited in line for just over an hour to meet him, and I was blown away by his energy and enthusiasm. He seemed genuinely excited to meet every fan, treating each interaction with the same level of excitement.

Christian Serratos

Christian Serratos was also there, and she was an absolute delight to meet—so sweet and down-to-earth. I mentioned how her character’s death on The Walking Dead was a heartbreaking moment for me, and she shared that she had to fight for that ending. Apparently, AMC wanted to keep Rosita alive and have her appear in one of the spin-offs, but Christian felt she had taken the character as far as she could. She wanted Rosita’s story to end in a way that would leave a lasting emotional impact. Mission accomplished—well done.
